Upon contract award we will nominate two or even three project manager which will enable us to work around the clock. We will then mobilise a fault location crew. First a pre location measurement will be carried out, as such a an indicative location of the cable fault will be determined. Offshore cable fault localisation is a highly complex technology which needs to be carried out by specialist.

Availability of a repair asset is key and highly detemines the total repair time of the cable. We have multiple options and can arrange for repair assets all over the world. Our crew will be mobilised within 24 hours upon contract award and will coordinate the mobilisation of the repair asset. 

Once the cable fault has been localised offshore the damaged cable will be (cut) and lifted onboard of the repair asset. Spare cable and two joints will be installed and as such the electrical integrity of the cable will be restored. Our crews will work 24/7 in shifts to enable the fastest response time.

Once the repaired cable has been lowered onto the seabed (and buried or protected) the circuit can be tested with a test voltage applied by an external (series resonant or DC) voltage source, or, in the absence thereof, a soak test with system voltage can be carried out before the circuit is taken back into operation.
